Intel processor history an quick see through

Intel processor invention has been a continuous and interesting progress to view. here is the gist of processors that were born through these many years....

i286 -12mhz

i386 -23mhz

i486 -80mhz

then the pentium history begins….

Pentium 1 with 75-200 mhz 126kb cache, then pentium mmx -225mhz;256kb c followed by p pro-225mhz;256 kb c

Pentium 2 with 450 mhz then pent.mobile -450mhz;512kb c then pentxeon-450mhz 1mb c.

Celeron with great 1130mhz but same 1mb cache

pentium 3 – 1400mhz followed by the side for servers with xeon 1000mhz

Pentium4 awsome processor with 3.8 ghz~2mb c.

Pent mobile 2260 mhz- 2 mb c

Xeon mp-3800 mhz with 16 mb (great for servers)

Celeron d 3.3ghz- but 1mb c.

Itanium 800mhz

Itanium 1.6ghz~24mb c.

Pentium d ie dual core -3.6ghz ~ 2-4mb cache

Core solo 1.83 6mb cache(failure)

Core 2 duo 2.6 ghz upto 6mb cache

Core 2 moobile 2.6ghz;6mbcache

Core2 quad 2.6 ghz; 2-6mb cache

Core 2 extreme 3.2 8-12mb cahe

I7-3.3ghz with 8 mb cache
